Welcome to the Lace&Fuzzy Cuffs Contest! This is a mature writers' contest meant entirely for those who enjoy suggestive work. Sex and the millions of things revolving around it make for a beautiful institution in their own way, and this contest seeks to explore them.

2007-03-17 [Calliope]: Yep, and of course the always popular run in the rain. That could be a prompt unto itself though heh

2007-03-17 [Mister Saint]: hum...

Okay ladies, I have a thought. Brace yourselves.
I'm thinking of instituting some changes in here next time. This is what I'm ponderin'.

Two prompts run at the same time, and will be judged separately, so we can have more prompts.

Guest judges like Unlazy Poets - who would write a prompt and example piece (so I can play, too!)

Badges!

Any ideas?

2007-03-17 [Jenna Rose]: I could make badges... I have handcuff brushes that I would love to use. Haven't had anything to use them for as of yet. And this one that looks like a silk sheet that I've been wanting to use... Heh. If you want, I can send you one I played around with to see. And I wouldn't mind making a prompt, like one I mentioned last night with actual handcuffs. I really need a life.

2007-03-17 [Jenna Rose]: And I take back what I said yesterday about the poll on a different page. If you're gunna have more than 1 poll at a time, a different page would be good.

2007-03-18 [Mister Saint]: Let's close this poll Sunday, and get a second prompt up. We'll run the next polls concurrently.

2007-03-18 [Jenna Rose]: *claps* So can I make a prompt? *has one formulated*

2007-03-18 [Mister Saint]: Make it and send it to me... leave the actual page build stuff to me. ^^_^^ Plus, I'll have to look over it and such.

2007-03-18 [Mister Saint]: And... this time's winner is Askoga! Congraturations!

2007-03-18 [Jenna Rose]: Under past winners, Askoga's writing isn't a link. o.o Unless it's supposed to not be.

2007-03-18 [Mister Saint]: Hee... yay! Good call.

2007-03-18 [Jenna Rose]: :P I have the habit of puttin' @ wiki when I link to a writing, because I'm much more used to that.

2007-03-18 [Mister Saint]: yeah... that took me a long time to get used to, also.

2007-03-18 [Jenna Rose]: Here's another prompt idea for you... A Honeymoon.
Something I was reading was very good with it.

2007-03-18 [Mister Saint]: ehh... honeymoon's something that's very easily incorporated into any other theme. I'm not sure if it, by itself, would be much better than no theme at all.

2007-03-29 [Mister Saint]: I was thinking. What if we didn't bother with 'judges' and just let everybody participate in every prompt? That way whoever came up with it can still play.

2007-03-29 [Askoga]: Sounds great to me!

2007-03-29 [Jenna Rose]: Sounds good.

2007-04-05 [Mister Saint]: Hi everyone! We're dyin' here. There are a couple of things I'm considering for this contest. One of them is to expand what's allowed... not too far, or else this becomes just another poetry contest. Meaning, not every entry has to be overtly erotic in nature - as long as physical love is somehow connected to the piece, it should be good to go. Now, I do want entries to earn those mature warnings. That was the whole point of the contest, to let us express ourselves where other contests wouldn't allow it. ^^

I'd also like to cut the specificity of the themes. Instead of place/situation themes (moonlit beach or stormy day) I'd like to shift over to form themes (write from your own perspective, write from the perspective of your lover, write from the perspective of two people you've never met, write from both, whatever) with maybe one or two word guidelines (storm, beach) to go by. Any thoughts?

2007-04-05 [Mister Saint]: Also, it's just about time to judge these. I won't hand myself a win for the handcuffs prompt, so if someone wants to enter please do so ASAP. If not, we'll scrap it.

2007-04-05 [Calann]: Can tomorrow be considered to be within an acceptable time frame to enter last-minute?

2007-04-05 [Mister Saint]: Absatively. *nods*
